Seniors
who want to stay in the home they love, with a friendly hand when things get harder.
We help with:
- Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, moving safely around the home
- Homemaking: light housekeeping and laundry
- Meal planning and preparation
- Medication reminders (reminders only)
- Companionship and safety at home
- Errands, like groceries and prescriptions, done by the caregiver on their own
Adults with disabilities or chronic illness
who need steady, respectful support with daily life.
We are a Medicaid provider for personal care and homemaking services under Colorado's Community First Choice (CFC) program. If services are approved by the case manager, Medicaid pays AVA directly for those approved hours.
People coming home after a hospital or rehab stay
Everything a person needs to stay at home after rehab, especially after a serious change in their health, so they can stay independent.
We don't perform medical procedures. If exercises are part of the plan of care, our caregivers can remind the client to do them. If the client also needs skilled care, we're glad to work alongside the home health agency and the doctor's team.
Start dates depend on the client's needs, the payer's approval and caregiver availability. We'll be honest with you about timing.

Families
who are doing their best and need someone they can truly count on.
Caring for a parent or spouse is hard work. A few hours of help lets you rest, go to work or take care of your own health, knowing that someone you trust is there.
- Regular hours each week, so you can plan your own time
- Short-term help while you travel or recover
- Help in the mornings, evenings or on weekends, when our caregivers' schedules allow
Already caring for a relative? If your loved one is on an eligible Health First Colorado (Medicaid) program, you may be able to join AVA as a caregiver and be paid for the approved hours you care for them. Eligibility rules apply. Apply to become a caregiver
