Home Care in Commerce City, CO
We match families in Commerce City with caregivers who live and work nearby.
Commerce City is in Adams County. Many families call because a parent wants to stay at home and the daily tasks have gotten hard.
Help that stays in the home
We do not ask the person to come to our Aurora office for care. That office is for administration. The caregiver comes to the Commerce City home and lives and works nearby.
Visits often include cooking, laundry, and light housekeeping. They can also include companionship so the person is not alone.
Bathing, grooming, and dressing can happen in the same visit. Morning tasks such as getting up and getting dressed are sometimes called ADLs.
If a caregiver sees a loose rug, a dark hallway, or a phone that is hard to reach, they tell the family.
How care works
1. We meet with you at home.
Our care coordinator visits you and your family. We talk about your daily routine, what is hard now, and how you like things done.
2. We write your plan of care.
If you have Medicaid, your case manager decides which services you are approved for, and we follow that plan. If you pay privately or use long-term care insurance, we build the plan with you. Together with you and your family, we decide the order and the way each task is done.
3. Personal care and help at home, together.
We usually combine personal care, like bathing and dressing, with help around the house, like meals and laundry. This makes your day easier and helps you stay independent at home.
4. We train your caregiver.
Your care coordinator shows your caregiver how to follow your plan, step by step and in the right order.
5. Your plan stays the same until you want a change.
Your caregiver follows the same plan at every visit. If your needs change, just call us and we will update your plan together.
