Help in Federal Heights
Federal Heights is its own city in Adams County. Families here ask for meals, a tidy home, and a caregiver who follows the same plan each visit.
We can help with light housekeeping, laundry, and companionship. Companionship can be a conversation, a walk to the mailbox, or staying through the afternoon.
Personal care includes bathing, grooming, and dressing. These daily tasks are sometimes called ADLs.
Caregivers also watch for things that make a fall more likely, such as poor lighting or a blocked path. They tell the family. They do not do medical tasks.
Office and assessment
Call or text 720.937.1500 or email info@avahomecare.com for a free in-home assessment. Our Aurora office handles the paperwork. Your caregiver lives and works near you. We answer Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
How care works
1. We meet with you at home.
Our care coordinator visits you and your family. We talk about your daily routine, what is hard now, and how you like things done.
2. We write your plan of care.
If you have Medicaid, your case manager decides which services you are approved for, and we follow that plan. If you pay privately or use long-term care insurance, we build the plan with you. Together with you and your family, we decide the order and the way each task is done.
3. Personal care and help at home, together.
We usually combine personal care, like bathing and dressing, with help around the house, like meals and laundry. This makes your day easier and helps you stay independent at home.
4. We train your caregiver.
Your care coordinator shows your caregiver how to follow your plan, step by step and in the right order.
5. Your plan stays the same until you want a change.
Your caregiver follows the same plan at every visit. If your needs change, just call us and we will update your plan together.
