Help at home

Many families in Castle Rock start with help in the kitchen, like cooking healthy meals. We can also help with light housekeeping, laundry, and companionship.

We also help keep the home safe. Caregivers watch for things like loose rugs or poor lighting and let the family know.

Personal care includes bathing, grooming, and dressing. Daily tasks such as getting up, washing, and getting dressed are sometimes called ADLs. The caregiver helps with the hard ones. The person can still do the ones they are able to do. A visit can include a meal, laundry, light housekeeping, and time together.

How care works

  1. 1. We meet with you at home.

Our care coordinator visits you and your family. We talk about your daily routine, what is hard now, and how you like things done.

  2. 2. We write your plan of care.

If you have Medicaid, your case manager decides which services you are approved for, and we follow that plan. If you pay privately or use long-term care insurance, we build the plan with you. Together with you and your family, we decide the order and the way each task is done.

  3. 3. Personal care and help at home, together.

We usually combine personal care, like bathing and dressing, with help around the house, like meals and laundry. This makes your day easier and helps you stay independent at home.

  4. 4. We train your caregiver.

Your care coordinator shows your caregiver how to follow your plan, step by step and in the right order.

  5. 5. Your plan stays the same until you want a change.

Your caregiver follows the same plan at every visit. If your needs change, just call us and we will update your plan together.
